Holy Trinity Boasts TWO of England’s top Performing Primary Schools

Holy Trinity Catholic Multi Academy Company is delighted that two of its seven Stafford-based primary schools have received letters of congratulations from Rt Hon Nick Gibb MP, Minister of State for School Standards.  Both Blessed Mother Teresa’s Primary School and St Patrick’s Catholic Primary School are now in the top 2% of all primary schools in England in terms of the progress of pupils between starting primary school and leaving.

Blessed Mother Teresa’s Catholic Primary School is celebrating wonderful results with an impressive 83% of pupils meeting the expected standard in reading, writing and maths against a national average of 61%.   Progress scores in reading, writing and maths are well above average with the school scoring particularly well for reading.

St Patrick’s Catholic Primary School is also delighted to have its best results yet, with 85% of pupils meeting the expected standard in reading, writing and maths.  Its progress scores are also all defined as well above average, scoring particularly well for maths.

“There are around 20,000 primary schools in this country, and that both of these schools are in the top 400 for pupil progress is quite an accomplishment for our Multi Academy.  We are extremely proud of the high standards of all our member primary schools, the leadership of our Headteachers and the wonderful dedicated teachers and support staff who serve the best interests of all of our pupils, enabling them to reach their full potential.
“Within the whole Archdiocese of Birmingham, collectively, our primary schools achieved 94% in Mathematics, the highest achievement throughout the 200 primary schools.  Furthermore, in the Archdiocese our Holy Trinity primaries were overall the second highest rating group.   St. Mary's Catholic Primary School at Brewood was also amongst the very top performing schools in Staffordshire.commented Ken Wilson, Chair of the Board of Directors of the Holy Trinity Catholic Multi Academy Company.
